Equine Reiki is a simple, hands-on energy-based approach that helps horses relax, release tension, and reset. You can think of it as a way to help the horse’s body and nervous system calm down — similar to how people feel after a deep massage or a good stretch, just without any physical manipulation.

During a session, I work quietly around the horse using light touch or no touch at all, depending on what the horse is comfortable with. Most horses start to show signs of relaxation on their own — things like yawning, licking and chewing, lowering their head, or taking a deep breath. Nothing is forced, and every horse reacts differently depending on what they need that day.

What is Equine Reiki?

Reiki is beneficial for any type of horse, whether they’re:

  • Actively competing or in training

  • Coming back from an injury or layup

  • Nervous, anxious, or high-strung

  • Retired or older horses needing comfort and balance

  • Rescue or new horses adjusting to a different environment

It’s also great for horses that don’t necessarily have anything “wrong” but could use help relaxing or maintaining a calm, balanced energy during busy training or show seasons.

Who is it for?

Every horse responds differently, but common changes after a few sessions include:

  • A more relaxed demeanor

  • Better focus during training

  • Reduced stress or anxiety

  • Improved recovery after physical work

  • Easier connection and trust with handlers

It’s not a replacement for veterinary care or training — it’s a tool that supports both by helping the horse’s body and mind work together more smoothly.

Benefits of Equine Reiki

Reiki gives the horse a chance to just be for a moment — to let go of built-up stress and settle into a calm state. When horses feel safe and relaxed, they move better, think clearer, and respond more willingly. That’s really the whole point of what I do — keeping horses feeling balanced, focused, and comfortable in their own skin.

Ashley Simoni Equine Reiki was built from a lifetime of understanding horses — how they think, how they move, and how they respond to the world around them. After spending over three decades riding, handling, and caring for horses of all types, I’ve seen firsthand how often they carry quiet tension that goes unnoticed. Whether it’s from training, hauling, injury, or everyday stress, that built-up energy can affect how they feel, focus, and perform.

My goal is to help horses reset — mentally and physically — in a way that’s calm, safe, and familiar. Each session is done right in their own environment, where they’re most comfortable. There’s no special setup or equipment. I work quietly around the horse, using light touch or proximity, allowing them to relax and let go at their own pace.

This business was created for real horse people — trainers, barn owners, riders, and everyday owners who want their horses to feel their best. Sessions are straightforward, respectful, and based on the horse’s natural behavior and comfort level.

I currently serve barns and private owners across Suffolk County and surrounding Long Island areas, offering on-site sessions and barn bundle rates for multiple horses.

In short: this business exists to support the horses that support us — helping them stay calm, balanced, and ready for whatever comes next.
